Terms and Conditions
1. Philosophy & Admission Standards
Little Elephant Montessori promotes above-average learning in a nurturing, child-centered environment rooted in Montessori principles.
All new students are evaluated before acceptance to ensure alignment with curriculum, emotional maturity, and behavioral expectations.
Minimum Expectations for Admission & Continued Enrollment:
Academic placement must suit the class level.
Emotional maturity must align with the mixed-age classroom.
Student must demonstrate independence appropriate to their age.
Student must show respectful behavior toward teachers and peers.
Student must not be frequently or unusually disruptive.
Note: Students with ADD, Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, or other manageable learning differences may be considered if they meet behavioral standards, avoid disruption, and do not require substantially more teacher attention than typical students.
Non-Discrimination Policy:
No child shall be denied admission based on race, color, national origin, or religion.
2. Enrollment Process
Application Submission via online registration form.
Evaluation & Observation (in-person or virtual).
Acceptance Notification within 7 business days.
Non-Refundable Deposit due within 5 days of acceptance to secure placement.
Enrollment Agreement & Health Forms must be completed before the first day.
3. Tuition & Payment Policy
Tuition rates are provided upon acceptance.
Payments are due on the 1st of each month via auto-draft or check.
A Late Payment Fee applies after the 5th.
No refunds for absences, holidays, or school closures.
Annual tuition adjustments are announced by March 1 for the following school year.
4. Withdrawal & Refund Policy
A 30-day written notice is required for withdrawal.
No refunds will be issued after the 60th day of the academic year.
Pro-rated refunds (minus deposit and fees) apply for withdrawals before Day 60.
The School may terminate enrollment for non-payment, chronic disruption, or safety concerns with 14-day notice (when feasible). No refund is issued in such cases.
5. Health & Safety
Current immunization records and a physician’s health form are required before attendance.
Parents must disclose all medical conditions, allergies, or medications.
Emergency medical authorization is granted if parents cannot be reached.
Only authorized adults (with photo ID) may pick up a student.
The School complies with Texas Health Department and CDC health and illness protocols.
6. Behavior & Classroom Expectations
We foster a respectful, kind, and inclusive learning environment.
Positive discipline is practiced through natural consequences and conflict resolution.
Serious violations (e.g., harm to others, property damage, chronic disruption) may result in suspension or expulsion following a parent conference.
Parents agree to support School policies and attend scheduled meetings.
7. Parent Responsibilities
Maintain timely payments and communication with the School.
Attend at least two parent-teacher conferences per year.
Complete a minimum of 5 volunteer hours annually (background check required).
Respect the confidentiality of curriculum materials and student records.
8. Liability & Insurance
The School is not liable for loss, injury, or damage except in cases of gross negligence.
Parents must maintain health insurance for their child.
The School maintains general liability insurance coverage.
9. Privacy & Media Consent
Student information is protected under FERPA and applicable Texas privacy laws.
Photos or videos of students may be used for marketing or documentation purposes unless parents submit a written opt-out request.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes shall be resolved through mediation in Denton County prior to any litigation.
11. Amendments
The School may update these Terms with 30 days’ written notice. Continued enrollment constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
