Parent and Child

Our Mommy and Child (Mommy and Me) event offers parents and children a special opportunity to discover the Montessori approach together. With guidance from our experienced teachers, you and your child will explore Montessori materials, gain helpful insights into early child development, and connect with other families. Whether you are new to Montessori or simply curious, this event provides a meaningful and enriching experience for both you and your child.

Why Attend the Mommy and Child Event?

Enjoy Special Time with Your Child
During our Mommy and Child event, you and your child will spend meaningful time together as your little one explores Montessori materials and engages with other children. You’ll have the chance to observe their curiosity, confidence, and joy as they try new activities, creating sweet memories to share.

Connect with Other Moms
Each event brings together a small group of families with children close in age. You’ll be part of a welcoming community where moms can connect, share experiences, and enjoy time in our classroom and outdoor play areas.

Learn Helpful Parenting Tips
Parenting young children is both rewarding and challenging. During the event, our Montessori guide will share simple, practical tips inspired by Montessori principles to support your child’s development at home.

Experience Montessori Firsthand
This event offers a hands-on look at Montessori in action. You and your child will explore our classroom, participate in daily-style activities, and experience our learning environment together. If you’re curious about Montessori, this event is a wonderful way to see if it’s the right fit for your family.

The Parent & Child / Mommy and Me event at Little Elephant Montessori is a special opportunity offered from time to time for families to experience the Montessori approach together. During this event, I was able to see how the Montessori preschool classroom works in practice and what children experience during a typical day. Since I know that once my daughter begins preschool I won’t be in the classroom with her, it was meaningful to observe and participate in her learning environment firsthand. Sharing this experience helped me better understand and connect with her world as she prepares to start preschool at Little Elephant this fall.

I am a strong advocate for Montessori Parent–Toddler programs, especially those offered as special events at Little Elephant Montessori from time to time. I truly enjoyed participating in this experience with Caspar. While there is a lot you can learn about Montessori through books and online resources, nothing compares to a hands-on, firsthand experience in the classroom. For families with toddlers who are even a little curious about the Montessori approach, attending a Parent–Toddler event like this is a wonderful way to explore and understand it more deeply.
